The Strength of Duality

Chapter 121 One Brawl Leads To Another

Yun Tian endured the attack from a mid stage beast and landed his fist on the chest of an early stage one. It was knocked much farther than the mid stage ones and as it stood up its arm was a mangled mess.

Though, it still rejoined the battle all the same.

At this point, the gorillas thought that since none of them had died yet Yun Tian was actually quite weak and they could take him down. There was now happiness mixed in with their determination and anger now.

This soon changed though. After he started to target all of the gorillas, more mid stage gorillas were able to land attacks straight on him, but he also severely injured the early stage ones while blasting holes straight through the chests of the wild beast realm ones.

It wasn’t just the gorillas who were getting injured though. Yun Tian had used up a large amount of qi and was suffering injuries.

Although they weren’t major it was showing that his defense wasn’t completely able to handle all their attacks.

Still, he did not stop and the battle continued. Except, now the wild beast realm gorillas were dying and the early stage ones were injured.

The gorillas became desperate and were throwing everything they had at Yun Tian. He continued to injure the stronger gorillas even killing the early stage ones.

The battle continued and eventually it was just a battered looking Yun Tian with eight grievously injured mid stage gorillas around him. Around them were the corpses of all the other gorillas. Seeing their companions die one after another, the gorillas were absolutely furious.

Even now they never stopped wailing on Yun Tian, while he also continued to swing his fists and injure them even more.

After his last strike with his fist, one of the gorillas' chests caved inwards while flying backwards and did not stand back up again after landing. The others did not bat an eye and just continued to attack Yun Tian. They knew it was either him or them at this point.

By now, the gorillas were severely drained and full of injuries. The battle ended quickly with Yun Tian being able to take them out one by one with ease, especially as their numbers decreased. While he was also injured before this point, theirs were much worse.

Now, he stood alone with bodies all around him. He was covered in blood from his own injuries and the gorillas. His qi in both his dantian and demonic core were both lower than they ever had been.

He immediately sat down to recover as the wolves came from the surroundings and stood guard near him.

He even took out a mid stage demonic core and absorbed the energy inside it just to recover faster.

His body was battered and full of bruises and cuts, but it slowly recovered through the infusion of energy and he felt his body becoming stronger than it ever was before.

Through this battle, he felt his body had become tempered even more.

At the same time, his qi and demonic qi quickly recovered, becoming even more vigorous. During the battle, his use of qi and demonic qi became even more ingenious. His defensive qi barriers became stronger and he could manipulate them better.

Besides his body and qi strengthening, his greatest gain was his comprehension of his skills dramatically increasing. His comprehension of the fist skills he had learned rose extremely high with his comprehension of Earth Shattering strike in particular reaching Complete Mastery.

His main goal of learning Warrior’s Intent also went well. Throughout the battle, he felt his consumption of energy slowly decreasing and he felt his will becoming stronger. He thought that this had to be due to him learning Warrior’s intent. It was just something he felt was there but could not see, like his killing intent or ferocity.

He still sat there recovering with his qi and demonic qi having recovered to around half at this point. He went through three mid stage demonic cores. He wasn’t only recovering, but also trying to use the energy to help his growing strength.

At his moment though, a furious roar spread through the forest with many weaker ones following behind.

He heard rumbles and then he quickly saw more gorillas appearing in front of him.

His expression became serious as he gauged their strengths. There was one in the late stage and five mid stage.

He sank into thought for a moment after seeing them.

‘Should we run?’

If he wanted to run, he could easily do so and so could the wolves, but he would have to abandon the bodies around.

Ultimately, he chose not to run. Although there was a late stage one with many mid stage ones, he had mostly recovered except for his qi not being full. Also, his strength had increased even further after that last battle.

Besides, he wasn’t afraid at all if he used his sword.

There were so many demonic cores including the ones on the ground, how could he give them up. The only reason he was thinking of running was that he momentarily forgot that he could use his sword if he needed to.

He was after all restricting himself moments before to temper himself. He was completely focused on displaying the best battle prowess he could without his sword and movement techniques.

He stood up and said to the wolves, “It’s fine, just go wait again.”

The wolves listened and once more scattered around.

Except, their gazes were full of regret that they could not help at all. Still, they knew he would be fine. So, they were not worried.

The gorillas were fully focused on him, as they could tell he was the strongest and he was also covered in their brethren's blood. They ignored the wolves and charged at him together. They knew he just killed many of their kind, but they thought he had to be exhausted.

They were partially right, but he had already mostly recovered and even grown stronger somewhat.
