Chapter 192 Intentions

Yao Fei was happy hearing his words thinking she had made the right decision even if he had declined to take the cores back, but the last part left her completely stunned.

‘What!? He knows about Hu!?’

She jolted as a mix of worry and surprise was plastered on her face. She looked to Yun Tian to see if he was upset or anything, but as she watched Yun Tian’s face, she only saw him slowly form an amused smile as if her performance was quite funny to him.

Seeing this though, Yao Fei could only congratulate silently, ‘Wooh. Good, he doesn’t seem to care about Hu hiding in the carriage,’ and calmed down.

Then she yelled, “Hu come on out here.”

They all looked towards the door of the carriage together and waited for a few seconds before the door finally opened. As the door was on the side of the carriage Yun Tian couldn’t immediately see the insides of the carriage along with the beast and could only wait for the beast to come out to see it.

He watched on as out of the door came a hesitantly extended white tiger paw filled with black stripes. It could be seen how nervous the beast was as it slowly came out of the carriage one step at a time, facing forwards the entire time. It was only when its entire white with black stripes tiger body was revealed that it finally turned to look in Yun Tian’s direction as if it had finally worked up the courage.

As it saw Yun Tian’s eyes locked onto it, the beast's heart nearly stopped beating. It felt like a predator it could never get away from had locked onto it.

Yun Tian stared into its yellow eyes and thought, ‘Interesting.’

The tiger though felt no such emotions and was only extremely nervous but it still came closer under Yao Fei’s urging.

She said, “It’s okay Hu. Come on over here.”

As it came over Yun Tian got to inspect the white tiger in full. 

‘It’s in the late stage Demonic Beast Realm very close to the peak stage, but I can feel its strength is out of the ordinary compared to other demonic beasts. The light of intelligence in its eyes also seems brighter than other demonic beasts. It reminds me of Bolin and the other wolves.’

However he felt that he could still defeat it easily. The tiger evidently felt this too which is why it was so scared.

After he was done inspecting it, he took his eyes off the tiger for a second to look at the carriage and the ghostly horses he had seen before thinking, ‘This carriage actually seems more interesting though. I could tell the two of them were in there and could even sense their auras, but I couldn’t tell exactly how strong Yao Fei and the tiger were before they came out. And those horses… I’ll figure it out later.’

He only thought about this for a moment though and returned his gaze to the still nervous tiger. Yun Tian was grateful to Yao Fei right now and he saw no reason to scare the beast. So, he said, “Relax, I am not going to harm you. Since you are with Yao Fei, you are my friend too now. Besides, your core is worth little to me.”

The tiger heard his words and relaxed a little but also felt slightly humiliated as it kept its head slightly lowered.

Yao Fei didn’t know what to say about any of this so she just ignored it and asked, “You are going back this way sir-”

Yun Tian interrupted her as he smiled and said, “Tian you can just call me Tian, Yun Tian, or anything you like. No need for any titles. And yes I am going back this way. Last time you saw me going towards Zhenmen town in a hurry. I was using my fastest speed to rush there, but now some people are waiting for me to come back right now.”

Yao Fei continued questioning, “What are you going to do after meeting up with them then?”

Yun Tian’s happy thoughts of returning to Shen Yu left as he instead had his brows raised in suspicion at her repeated questioning and only replied, “Go back to Zhenmen town.”

Yao Fei then said, “How about you come with us then and travel in my carriage? It has to be much easier than going on foot, especially for your sleeping friend. We can go meet up with your group and then go back to Zhenmen town together.”

The tiger and the Elders were a little worried as they remembered his strength, but the Elders knew they had to try this.

‘This is the only way to befriend him. Besides, with his strength we won’t need to fear anything else out here… just him,’ one of the Elder thought with a wry smile.

As for Yun Tian, he found the idea to be slightly worth going along with, at least for a short while maybe.

‘I could cultivate while we travel and it would be much easier on Bolin. I think Shen Yu and the wolves should be fine even if we arrive a little later.’

But, he wouldn’t just agree without knowing why she wanted him to travel with her. While he may feel grateful to her, they weren’t close and he didn’t know why she would want to let him in her carriage and travel with him.

He kept his brows raised as he directly asked, “Why do you want me to come with you?”

Yao Fei was greatly taken aback at his question as she had expected him to either agree or not agree while giving an excuse, but not to be so direct as to ask her why she wanted him to go with her. Her golden eyes flashed a little as she thought, ‘Why is he so direct!? Shouldn’t men be polite to women? What if one wanted to travel with someone because they liked them, but didn’t want to say it. Am I not pretty enough?’
