The Strength of Duality

Chapter 195 Even Weirder Than I Thought

Yun Tian raised his eyebrows and walked over. He peered into the door and when he saw the inside he was somewhat shocked and confused thinking, ‘That can’t be real.’

As his mind was spinning, he walked inside.

The door was big enough for the tiger so naturally it could fit Bolin as well and there was no problem as he entered carrying the sleeping Bolin before then looking around.

The first thing he noticed upon entering was, ‘It's so big in here. Much bigger than it seems from the outside.’

The inside was filled with several couches, mats, and chairs inside a large room along with a table with a teapot on it. There was even a bed that the tiger seemed to use.

In the middle of the room Yao Fei waited along with the tiger as she smiled gleefully.

Yun Tian continued to inspect the room ignoring her. The carriage was just too magical, ‘I knew those cards and badges with invisible words that appeared with a special method were nothing. Wait, are those more doors!?’

He was already greatly astounded at the sheer size of the place as he looked at the white floors and walls adorned with many paintings and decorations. Suddenly though, he noticed that on the wall behind Yao Fei there happened to be four more doors.

He decided to check those out later and continued to inspect the room he was in now instead, ‘I didn’t notice that window from the outside.’

The wall on his left where the front of the carriage would be had a window that showed the front of the carriage including the two ethereal horses.

He stopped thinking about everything inside the place though and instead just estimated the size of the place in amazement, ‘This room alone should be around seventy square meters large and it appears there are even four more rooms in the carriage.’

After this he stopped looking around and tried to figure out what made this carriage so special.

‘It feels like there is some strange force or something at play here. It just feels different somehow than in the outside world. It reminds me of how spatial bags feel but also different at the same time.’

Since he couldn’t figure it out himself, he decided to ask the owner instead, “What is with this carriage? Why is there so much space in here?

Yao Fei boasted a cheeky grin as she looked at the dumbfounded Yun Tian. The tiger beside her though evidently didn’t share her feelings as it still watched Yun Tian warily. The tiger naturally knew this carriage was a treasure and was unsure if Yun Tian would try to kill them for it.

Yao Fei’s thoughts though were instead just on Yun Tian’s cute dumbfounded look as she said, “This carriage was given to me by my father. It is quite special with its two main features being that the space inside it is greatly enlarged and the carriage will form those ghostly looking beasts that you saw outside to pull the carriage. However, besides this there are no other noticeable features. Which is why my father thought it was fine to give it to me to use.”

Yun Tian was surprised to hear that her father would just let her take this thing out, but his question was still not answered. So he asked again, ”It's obvious that these are its features, but why is that so? What makes the space inside here so large?”

Yao Fei’s smug look dropped a little as she said, “Actually even my father isn’t sure about this carriage. It was just something he found from a ruin. He doesn’t know how it works either, let alone me.”

Yun Tian was a little dejected and happy at the same time hearing that, ‘It seems that even the Golden Core cultivators in this Blood Beast Sect can’t do something like this. I would have been a little worried if they were this far beyond me that they can do things like this.’

After inspecting it all though, Yun Tian suddenly felt that while impressive, it actually wouldn’t be that useful for him. So, he commented, “It's quite handy and comfortable for travelling I guess. However, its speed doesn’t seem to be too great.”

Yao Fei's smile returned as she said, “Actually, while we might not know exactly how it works, we do know how to make the carriage create the ghostly figures that pull the carriage.”

As she said that, she put her hand on top of a strange insignia on the ground in the middle of the room and poured in some qi before taking a step back as a thin square podium began to rise up. Yun Tian inspected it and found there to be a circular imprint on each side of the podium with only two of them having been inserted with an early stage demonic core.

She continued, “You see the two demonic cores in the grooves, they are the source of the two ethereal horses you saw outside. By putting a demonic core in these grooves the carriage creates a ghostly version of the core's previous owner to draw the carriage. So, with better demonic cores the carriage can go faster.”

Hearing this, Yun Tian’s ears perked up. If it could go fast while he sat inside cultivating that would be great. He also knew it would be fine to cultivate in here as he felt he could still draw in the qi from the world outside and he felt the amount of qi in here was even higher than the outside world anyway. He figured the carriage must also have a function to gather qi somehow.

‘Wait, why are there only two early stage demonic cores in there then if it could go faster with better cores?’

A look of realization hit him as he thought, ‘Nothing comes free after all.’

He questioned, “How quickly does it use up the cores?”

Yao Fei was somewhat surprised as she said, “But I didn’t even say that cores are used up overtime, did I?”

Yun Tian only shrugged his shoulders in response and said, “Intuition.”
