Chapter 199 Special Traits

Yun Tian deeply inspected the whole room to see if there was anything, even an emblem on the floor, walls, or ceiling somewhere that could raise a podium or something like the last room, but he could only leave back through the door as there truly was nothing special about it when compared to the first room. It was just a very large white room similar to the first.

As he walked back out though, he asked, “I’m guessing you guys brought in all these tables, chairs, and other stuff right?”

Yao Fei nodded her head with zero surprise in her eyes as if she knew he would ask this. It was very obvious that the style of furniture and decorations within were very different from the base carriage.

The carriage itself was almost completely white except for some slight gold embellishments. It almost seemed like it was made out of stone or marble, but when he touched it before and felt that it was something else entirely.

On the other hand, while the furniture and decorations still seemed high quality, they were made out of wood and other materials completely different from the carriage. The carriage itself carried an unearthly air to it that just couldn’t be matched by the stuff they brought in.

Then he asked, "So you haven't used this room?"

"We haven’t and the other room is the same except for a few beds my Elders' used to rest sometimes." 

Since that was the case, he didn't bother to check out the other room and only said, "This carriage sure is a wonder huh?"

Although the three rooms past the doors didn’t have any other features, just the immense space that could house people showed how magical the carriage was and that was along with being able to form figures to pull the carriage.

Yao Fei agreed, "Yes it sure is," but inwardly, his continuous praise and curiosity sparked an idea, 'He didn't seem too interested in all the things I said the sect had to offer, but he seems very interested in this carriage on the other hand. This thing doesn't increase fighting ability at all and only makes travelling a bit easier.'

'When we get back to the sect I should bring up the idea of using this carriage to rope him in to Father.'

Yun Tian, uncaring of her thoughts said, "Alright then, how about we rest for now. I would like to ask you some more questions but that can wait till we reach those waiting for me."

Yao Fei smilingly agreed saying: "Sounds good. Don't mind us then."

The three of them, Yao Fei and the two Elders both found some places to rest and sat down. To make Yun Tian feel more at ease Yao Fei even started cultivating by absorbing the qi around her.

Yun Tian walked back to Bolin's side and sat down cross legged. He was ready to start cultivating as well. He thought, ‘I should focus on the core in my chest as it is closer to being full and I only have a few late stage dantians left. I can reach the next level faster with my demonic core.’

He reached into his robe ready to grab a demonic core from his spatial bag when his gaze hardened as he realized, 'Wait! I can't cultivate using demonic cores in front of them.'

'But if I don't use them I won't be able to make much progress. I don’t have good pills to use with my dantian either. Actually, even if I had good pills I don’t think I should cultivate using pills either with them here. My refinement speed is just too fast.'

He tried to think of a solution even pondering just resting and waiting while doing nothing.

‘Hmm. There’s no way I can show them my special traits and there’s no way I am wasting so much time.  What can I do though?’

As mulled through various ideas, his eyes drifted to the door to the empty room. Immediately thinking of the solution he asked, "Actually, do you mind if we rest in the empty room?"

The Elders and Yao Fei heard this and all thought, 'He's still so wary of us that he refuses to even cultivate in front of us. Have we not shown enough hospitality? We even let him look around the carriage as he pleased.'

Still, Yao Fei saw no real reason to say no and knew saying no would instantly make Yun Tian like them less and maybe even cause him to think they have something nefarious planned.

So, she only smiled as she said, “Feel free to.”

Yun Tian said, "Thanks” before he picked up Bolin and walked towards the door bringing Bolin inside.

He came back out a moment later and said, “I will come back out to tell you when we arrive. So, don’t worry about that and just keep the carriage going.”

Yao Fei just nodded and said, “Okay.”

With that Yun Tian went back into the room and closed the door.

He went to the far side of the room where he put Bolin down and sat down as well. He thought, ‘It should be fine to use demonic cores for cultivation in here.’

He had noticed that just like when he was outside the carriage there was a barrier or something between this room and the first that severely suppressed his senses. It was also why he had to enter to find out what was inside.

So, he felt at ease as he took out a peak stage demonic core and started cultivating.

His demonic core was already very close to being full at around eight tenths full, but it would still take him some time to completely fill up those two tenths as it took more resources as it got closer to being full. However, this was a good thing as it was representative of the increasing quality of qi in his demonic core.

But, as he started to absorb the energy of the demonic core in his grasp and channel it into the core in his chest he suddenly smiled thinking, ‘It seems it won’t take too long after all. My speed of absorption has greatly increased after breaking through to the late Dantian Building Realm.’
