The Strength of Duality

Chapter 201 Bolin’s Change

It only took a few seconds for the carriage to come to a halt and nothing was more important than reuniting with Shen Yu. So, after his short moment of shock and realization he was about to leave the carriage.

He said, “Thanks,” as reached for the handle to open it and was about to leave with Bolin when suddenly the door to Yao Fei’s room opened.

He turned to look and saw Yao Fei with the tiger behind her coming out of the room. Behind her saw a lavish looking shrouded purple bed frame along with carpets and decorations all over the place, including a large mirror.

He didn’t really care about her room though and just said, “I was just going to go outside and look out for my group. They might be waiting on the side of the path somewhere.”

Yao Fei nodded her head and was about to speak until she saw Bolin approaching them. After Bolin noticed the tiger come out of the door he could instantly feel the tiger’s great strength and he even felt a faint sense of inferiority.

He didn’t like this feeling after he had been through so he walked over with his gaze locked on the tiger. The tiger also curiously inspected Bolin. It was wondering what was going through the wolf’s head.

Slowly though, Bolin’s eyes were effused with an intent for battle as if trying to prove he was the stronger of the two. Hu, however, only had a gaze filled with disdain after noticing this.

For one, the tiger was an entire realm above Bolin and he also had strength surpassing normal demonic beasts. He was the descendant of a powerful demonic beast so it was in his blood to look down on other demonic beasts.

Yun Tian didn’t say anything and Yao Fei looked at Yun Tian as if questioning him on what to do, but he just shook his head and remained silent. He would let Bolin do whatever he wanted.

Demonic qi flooded throughout Bolin as he released his aura filled with ferocity, strength, and will. It deeply showed his great strength as a beast who lived in the wild for his entire life.

The tiger didn’t want to lose out as a much more vigorous demonic qi flowed within its body and also released its own aura somewhat stifling Bolin’s. His aura contained a great bloodthirst and a somewhat regal aura within.

Bolin slowed and stopped his advance as the three, Yao Fei and the two Elders, sighed in relief, ‘At least Hu is still stronger than the beast by his side.’

Yun Tian was about to call back Bolin and tell him it's fine, he just needs to reach the next realm and he would have no problem tearing this tiger apart, but he stopped as he felt something vaguely stir within Bolin.

In fact he vaguely even heard something.

‘It sounds like his blood is rushing throughout his body much faster than before.’

Yun Tian's senses including his hearing were so powerful that he could even faintly hear the beating of people’s hearts and the flow of blood in their veins. But, Bolin was a strong beast and had a powerful body with thick skin which didn’t allow him to hear much, but now the blood rushing through Bolin became almost audible even to the others in the room with normal hearing.

The aura he exuded seemed to be filled with a reeking of blood. It was different from the tiger’s bloodthirst as it felt like it was his blood that was powerful and not that he wanted to taste blood. It thoroughly showed off his nature as a ferocious wild beast.

Yun Tian even felt his blood slow down for a second before returning to normal, but the others in the room felt this much more intensely.

Bolin regained his momentum and continued his walk towards the tiger as his figure seemingly gained a new vigour.

The tiger was stunned and its eyes became slightly serious but it still didn’t do anything.

Bolin continued his walk and eventually stood only two feet in front of the tiger. Their momentums and auras were basically equally imposing at this point. It seemed there would be no way to point out who was stronger unless a fight broke out.

But, Bolin didn’t do that. Instead, his eyes filled with a light of accomplishment and pride as withdrew his aura and turned around.

Yun Tian smiled and petted Bolin saying: “Sorry about that. They will tell you what’s up,” before turning around and leaving with Bolin. The three of them in the carriage could only keep replaying in their minds the scene of even the wolf he kept being stronger than their tiger.

Yun Tian wasn’t exactly sure what happened, but he didn’t really care at the moment.

He just walked outside with a smile along with Bolin who had renewed vigor and was full of pride and happiness.

He explained to Elder Song what he came out for and then hopped on top of the front side of the carriage along with Bolin.

The carriage started going again and the two of them stayed on lookout for anything on the sides of the path.

It took twenty minutes before Yun Tian yelled out, “Slow down.”

He did not see any of the wolves or Shen Yu, but they would soon be arriving at the area he left them.

This could not be any more obvious as there were no craters in the road past the point not far in front of them.

Yun Tian thought, ‘Makes sense. Zan and Zhi were injured. They are probably sticking together to make sure nothing goes wrong.’

The carriage came to a stop and Yun Tian said, “Alright we will go get them so you can just wait here.”

With that he jumped off the carriage and sped off to the forest with the Fleeting Steps skill. He was anxious to see them again and didn’t even wait for the Elder’s response. Bolin followed behind him but was still lagging behind.

The Elder was slightly stunned that he didn’t even wait for him to respond but could only shake his head.

Yun Tian quickly neared the spot they rested at and breathed a sigh of relief when he heard a voice as he got closer. It was Shen Yu’s voice.
