Chapter 207 Yao Fei’s Abilities

Sensing the boar not far up ahead, Yun Tian stopped and then led their group up into the trees before saying, “Miss Yao Fei, go ahead.”

She had been laying flat against the tiger’s back holding on tightly. After they stopped and she heard his question, she sat upright and asked confusedly, “What do you mean?”

He responded, “There is a lone Early Stage Demonic Beast Realm boar up ahead. I had us move stealthily so that our group wouldn’t scare it. You can fight it in peace as I watch over.”

She was slightly stunned at his abilities to find a beast so quickly and even determine its strength from far away so easily.

She thought for a moment and nodded before jumping off of Hu and landing on the ground.

Then, she slowly walked forward.

Up above, Yun Tian thought for a moment and said, “You guys go find us some prey and come back in around an hour.”

The wolves immediately left deeper into the forest at his words. The tiger was slightly stunned but only went along the trees following Yao Fei closely. It didn’t really care what they did and only wanted to protect Yao Fei.

Yun Tian planned to help out Yao Fei for an hour while the wolves scout ahead and find some good targets. They were pretty strong themselves and even if they encountered something stronger than them like the peak stage demonic beasts he was after, they were quite fast, stealthy, and had great senses. They would be fine and would save him a lot of time.

Yun Tian, still holding Shen Yu, kept pace with Hu and silently followed along with Yao Fei.

She wasn’t being quiet and was casually walking forward. To Demonic beasts with their incredible senses, they heard even the slightest sound over long distances. As she stepped on a leaf and made a crunching sound, it was as if she was screaming out, “I’m here! Come get me!”

This was indeed true as Yun Tian felt the boar turn around and quickly move in this direction. He didn’t care about it though and instead looked intently at Yao Fei. He wondered what kind of abilities she might have.

She was only in the Early Dantian Building Realm and demonic beasts are usually stronger than humans of the same level. If she didn’t have some strong treasure or skill she wouldn’t even be able to beat this ordinary demonic boar, even if she was a genius that reached the Dantian Building Realm at a young age.

In his arms Shen Yu also watched on. She wondered, ‘Is even this woman better than me?’

The Boar quickly approached and its large brown frame and thick tusks could soon be seen in the distance. Yao Fei also spotted it as she took out a whip.

Instantly. Yun Tian’s eyes constricted. ‘That whip… feels different than other weapons.’

The whip was a pale grey with thorns all over it. He felt the whip should be somewhere around high spirit grade, but there should be more to it than that.

The Boar quickly approached and Yao Fei got ready as she held the whip in her hand.

At the same time, Yun Tian got ready to intervene.

The boar roared as it got closer and got ready to charge into Yao Fei.

It got no more than twenty feet away from her when she suddenly jumped to the side and swung out her whip at the same time.

It latched onto one of the boar's front legs causing the boar to trip and fall over. It tumbled for a bit and Yao Fei pulled back her whip, lacerating the boar’s leg as the thorns slid across it.

Shen Yu’s eyes widened and the tiger seemed to smirk.

Yun Tian however narrowed his eyes as he paid more attention to something else. He noticed that the whip was slowly turning a faint red.

‘It's draining the blood of the boar!’

He calmed down though as he realized, ‘It did not drain very much though. It will take many, many swings of that whip in order to completely drain that boar of its blood.’

He continued watching to see what would happen next. She had been able to use the boar’s fierce momentum against it, but it would be more careful this time.

Like he thought, the boar quickly got up and turned before running at Yao Fei once more.

He looked at her face that seemed extremely calm and wondered what she would show next.

The boar charged at her and quickly closed in when she suddenly jumped up and then tapped on the air once with her foot. At that second his eyes lit up once more.

She was wearing seemingly normal looking white slippers, but when she tapped on the air he felt her pour some qi into the slippers and a platform of qi was momentarily created under her foot.

She pushed off of this platform and launched herself forward. 

‘She’s not going forward very fast. It seems that the platform couldn’t withstand much force. Still, being able to change directions mid air is magical enough. I bet I could do something similar with my ability in manipulating qi, but just like her platforms it wouldn’t allow me to go anywhere near as fast as I go on land. Well maybe if I pair it with some of my other movement skills...’

While thinking of ideas he kept on looking at the fight. As she leapt over the boar, she lashed out with her whip and caused some wounds on its back while also draining some more blood. The grey whip slowly became infused with blood and the streaks of red throughout it slowly increased.

She landed on the ground and the boar quickly turned around once more before charging at her once again. It was thoroughly enraged that its opponent kept on running away and causing wounds that did little more than cause pain to it.

Yao Fei did not immediately jump in the air this time. She naturally knew some good skills, besides her whip technique after all. She also had a good movement technique it seemed.
